1. Zhipu released the latest large model GLM-4-Plus.

Benchmark scores show its capabilities close to GPT-4o. GLM-4V-Plus also has image and video understanding capabilities, while Qingyan has newly upgraded video calling features.

The scenario and product demonstration at Zhipu's release event were reminiscent of OpenAI, and the on-site demo of the video feature (benchmarking GPT-4o’s advanced voice capabilities) looked quite impressive.

2. Alibaba open-sourced the Qwen2-VL visual multimodal model.

It comes in three sizes: 2B, 7B, and 72B. The 2B and 7B versions are open-source, with the 72B version having capabilities close to GPT-4o, able to understand a 20-minute video.

3. Magic released the LTM-2-Mini model with a 100 million token context.

A 100 million token context length is the longest so far, equivalent to about 10 million lines of code or approximately 750 novels. Meanwhile, Magic also announced that it had secured $465 million in funding.
